Charlotte P. Reid, of West Bridgewater & Taunton, died Friday, September 27 at Bridgewater Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. Born 75 years ago in Brockton, daughter of the late Annie Mae Anderson, she was educated and lived in West Bridgewater before moving to Taunton with her husband, William “Bill” Reid. An avid reader, she worked at the Shawmut Bank in Brockton before she and Bill founded and operated a mail-order book business.
In addition to Bill, she leaves one son, Thomas William Reid of Plymouth, and one grandson, Dylan Thomas Reid of Halifax.
Visiting Hours will be held at The Riendeau ~ Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Monday, September 30 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. An Inurnment of Charlotte’s cremains will be forthcoming. Memorial Donations in Charlotte’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
