Obituary

In Raynham, September 26, 2013 Richard F. Rose Sr., Age 75 passed away in the Life Care Center of Raynham following a lengthy period of failing health. Richard is survived by his loving wife Maureen (Gove) Rose of Taunton. He was born in Taunton, the son of the late Manuel & Mary (Ferris) Rose. Richard was a lifetime resident of Taunton. He was a foreman for the former Dye Craftsman Co. in Taunton and later worked as a bartender for McGrath’s Pub. He was a member of the P.A.C.C. and enjoyed playing pool and cards with his friends. Above all Richard cherished his time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Richard leaves his daughter, Deborah Rose of Taunton, his son Richard Rose Jr. and his step children Patricia A. Perry of N. J., David Perry of Quincy, Mary Beth Jacinto of Taunton and Richard J. Perry. His siblings Eugenia Rego of Taunton, Dorothy Souza of Dighton and the late Mary Phillinger, William Rose and Lillian Lawrence. His loving grandchildren, Brett and Amber Rose of Taunton, Amanda Jacinto of New Bedford, Jennifer Perry of Taunton, Aaron Jacinto of New Bedford and his great grandson Gavin Wetherall. Funeral from the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Ma 02780 on Monday, Sept. 30th at 10 am. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Family Church in East Taunton at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Sunday from 3-6 pm. Burial will be in the family lot in St. Francis Cemetery in Taunton. Donations in Richard’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
