Obituary

Judith Ann (Duncan) Landolt, 73, of Noank, Connecticut, died on September 25, 2013 after a twelve-year battle with Multiple Myeloma. She ended her days peacefully at her home surrounded by family. Judith was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on October 16, 1940, the only child of the late Arthur and Rose (Gallagher) Duncan. She was raised in Cranston, Rhode Island and, as a teenager, met her high school sweetheart and future husband, Peter Landolt. They were married in 1961 and began a happy 52 years of life together.

After graduation from Cranston High School in 1958, Judy attended and graduated from Bryant College with high honors and went to work at AMICA Insurance Company in Boston to help her husband finance his college education. Upon his graduation, she became a full-time mom while he was serving in the Navy. In 1966 they moved to southeastern Connecticut, raising their family in Ledyard and Gales Ferry. Judy became the Office Manager for the Big Brothers/Big Sisters Agency in New London, where she worked for 24 years before retirement. After her children were grown, in 1987 she moved with her husband to an antique house in Noank, where Judy lived the rest of her life, happily taking care of her home and especially her gardens. Being a woman of great artistic talent, she adorned her house with artwork ranging from watercolor paintings to metal work in copper and brass. And she expressed her artistic talent through her faith by creating art works for her church's events for more than four decades.

Besides her husband, Judy's surviving family includes her daughter Christine Stadnicki and husband Scott, daughter Cynthia Bezz and husband Bob; five grandchildren; in-laws; and several cousins.

A Funeral Service celebrating Judith's life will be held at Saint David's Episcopal Church, Gales Ferry, CT on Monday, September 30, 2013 at 11:00am. Burial will be private for the family.
