Manchester– Doris A. (Duguay) Fonseca, 79, died September 26, 2013 at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Dover on May 22, 1934 the daughter of Ernest and Eugenie (Drolette) Duguay.
Prior to her retirement she had worked in the electronics industry.
She was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church and a member of the residents council of Mt. Carmel Nursing Home.
She enjoyed bingo and the Red Sox.
She was predeceased by her husband, Julio Fonseca on April 29, 2005.
Family members include two sisters, Irene Barker and her husband Gene of Brandon, FL., Phyllis Martel and her husband Robert of Manchester, one brother, Donald Duguay of Benton, her special friend, Juliette Soucy and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by one sister, Pauline Gagnon, and one brother, Roger Duguay.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Mt. Carmel Nursing Home and Amedisys Hospice Care for the care they provided for Doris.
When Doris arrived at Mt. Carmel five years ago she really found a home not just a nursing facility.
Calling hours will be on Sunday from 6 to 8 PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St., and on Monday from 9:30 to 11:00 AM at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM in Mt. Carmel Nursing Home Chapel, 235 Myrtle St.
Committal will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.
