Auburn – Merle E. Harmon, 51, of Auburn passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 22 after being stricken ill.
Merle is survived by his mother, Ethel (Mansfield) Girardin of Auburn; two brothers, William Girardin of Auburn and Arthur Girardin of Barre, MA; 5 sisters, Grace Healy of Leicester, Maryann Pease of Hardwick, MA, Lori Rao of North Oxford, Linda Menard of North Brookfield and Sandra Glanville of Worcester; his longtime companion, Tina LaFlash of Millbury and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Harmon was born in Portland, Maine and is predeceased by his stepfather Arthur Girardin. He is a graduate of Baypath Vocational School and worked for TCI Tire Center Company.
Merle enjoyed fishing, gardening, doing crossword puzzles and spending time in his “Man Cave”
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 30 at 11:30 AM in Notre Dame Mausoleum 162 Webster St. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond Street Worcester is directing arrangements.
