Leonard O. "Len" Erikson, a 51 year resident of Wakefield, entered into eternal life unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 25, 2013 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was 90 years old.
Len was born in Malden on February 10, 1923, a son of the late Leonard O. Erikson and Clorida M. (Trottier) Erikson. He grew up in Malden for a short time before moving to Winchester and graduated from Winchester High School. He also attended Boston University. Len enlisted into the United States Army on November 27, 1942 and served his country with honor and dignity during World War II. He was honorably discharged on March 5, 1946 with the rank of Technician Third Grade. Len worked in food service for many years and retired several years ago as Southeastern District Manager of VeryFine Products. He was a member of the Golden Rule Masonic Lodge of Wakefield, Scottish Rite of Boston, Wakefield Retired Men's Club and The Second Congregational Church in Beverly.
Len is the beloved husband of the late Roberta G. (Campbell) Erikson. He is the devoted father of Peter L. Erikson of Wakefield. He is the beloved brother of the late Anne O. Erikson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Len's Graveside Service at Forest Dale Cemetery, 150 Forest St. Malden on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 2 P.M.
