Catherine J. “Kitty” (Golden) Winn, of North Andover, died September 25th, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Lawrence on April 16th, 1921. She was the daughter of the late Michael and Isabelle (Driver) Golden. Her husband of 72 years, John Winn, passed away on April 9, 2013.
Mrs. Winn attended Lawrence High School, Class of 1939 and Delta College in California. She taught school in Hawaii when that state was still a territory. She owned her own Real Estate Brokerage in California where she lived for many years and was an active member of the California Board of Realtors. At one time she was chosen Real Estate Woman of the Year.
She lived in many states with her husband who was a career Navy Man and traveled extensively throughout the world. She often spoke of having moved more than 40 times throughout their marriage and always looked forward to each move as a new adventure. She was very adventuresome and enjoyed talking about her modes of travel from troop ships to camels, elephants, and hot air balloons. She once took part in the International Balloon Races in Reno Nevada.
She is survived by sons Thomas and his wife Rosa of North Hampton, NH., Robert and his wife Karyn of Exeter, NH., Grandchildren Jessica, Julie and John and their spouses., Brother Joseph Golden of Groveland, MA., and Sister Ethel Belanger of Lawrence, MA. As well as several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, September 30th, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Michael Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover, Massachusetts, and her burial will take place at a later date in the Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia
