Barbara C. (Webster) Rose, 91, a longtime resident of Weymouth, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday Sept 25th. Beloved wife of the late Gordon M. Rose, devoted mother of Nancy Rose of Weymouth, Donna Rose of No. Weymouth, Robert Rose of Hull and the late Stephen Rose, grandmother of Thomas Hantakas of Quincy, sister of Paul Webster and his wife Pat of Upton, Malcolm Webster of Brockton, Lois Jordan of Quincy and sister of the late Janet Norton, Miriam Downing and Phyllis Fahey, sister-in-law of the late Guy Rose and his wife Gertrude; also survived by many nieces and nephews,
Mrs. Rose was born in Roxbury, daughter of the late Arthur and Emily (Duffy) Webster. She graduated from the High School of Practical Arts.
She retired as a cafeteria worker from the Weymouth School System, where she worked for 20 years.
She loved spending time with family and enjoyed camping, traveling, dancing, music and the simple things in life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her visiting hours on Sunday Sept 29th from 3:00-6:00PM, in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte 58 @ the rotary) Whitman. Her funeral service will be held on Monday Sept 30th at 10:00AM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester, MA.
