New Bedford - Marilyn F. (Sherman) Amaral, 63, of Acushnet passed away September 25, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of Arthur Amaral.
Mrs. Amaral was born in Acushnet, daughter of the late Franklin and Clara F. (Timms) Sherman, and was a lifelong resident of the town. She was a member of the Long Plain United Methodist Church. She was formerly employed by Morgan Ceramic. She enjoyed gardening and creating artwork.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by 2 daughters: Jessica P. Leaver and Stacey P. Brouillette; a son: Joseph M. Amaral; a sister: Lorrie J. Pepin; a brother: Thomas A. Sherman; 8 grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces & nephews.
She was mother of the late Michael A. Amaral and sister of the late Timothy E. Sherman.
