Dorothy R. (Laplante) (Barbin) Rinaldo, 89, of Andover passed away Wednesday September 25th at the Prescott House Nursing Home in North Andover surrounded by her family. She was born in Lawrence daughter of the late Wilfred and Elizabeth (Devlin) Laplante. She was also raised and educated in Lawrence and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. After graduating high school Dorothy worked as an admitting clerk at the Bon Secours Hospital for 22 years prior to retirement and in her free time Dorothy enjoyed bingo, card playing, trips to Las Vegas, but most of all spending time with her family.
Dorothy was pre deceased by her first husband Leo Barbin and more recently by husband Anthony Rinaldo and is survived by two sons Kenneth Barbin and his wife Denise of Litchfield NH, Thomas Barbin of Andover, four grandchildren Christopher Barbin and his wife Michelle, Kelly DeLuca, Michael Barbin, Catherine Barbin, five great grandchildren Matthew DeLuca, Jillian DeLuca, Jackson Barbin, Ella Barbin, Kaden Gordon, brother Robert Laplante and his wife Nancy of Amesbury, several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours Sunday September 29th from 4-8 PM at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday September 30th at St Monica’s Church at 11AM in Methuen followed by entombment at Mary Immaculate Mausoleum in Lawrence.
