Cheryl A. (Thomas) Gannon, age 56, of Brockton died unexpectedly on Monday September 23, 2013 at the Signature Healthcare-Brockton Hospital. Born in Brockton, Cheryl was a lifelong resident of the city and the daughter of Marjorie (Auger) Mitchell of Brockton and the late Lawrence Thomas.
She worked for many years for the Am Vets Thrift Store on Oak Street and the Super and Highlander Laundromats here in the city. Cheryl enjoyed crafts and was known to wield a mean glue gun; she had a great love of animals especially her cats and was known to truly enjoy a good time with friends and family.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her sons, Tommy M. Gannon of Brockton and David M. Gannon of Middleboro; and her sister Cindy Roy of Wareham. She was predeceased by her fiancé Michael Hall.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Friday September 27, 2013, 9-11am, immediately followed by a funeral service at 11am. Burial will follow in Melrose Cemetery.
