FALL RIVER …Alvarina (Leal) DaCosta, 99, of Fall River died Tuesday, September 24, 2013.
She was the widow of Joseph Cunha and Jacinto DaCosta.
She was born in Praia Victoria, Terceira, Azores and had lived most of her life in Fall River.
She was a Communicant of Espirito Santo Church, Alden Street, Fall River.
She was employed as a cook at the Catholic Memorial Home in Fall River for 15 years.
Mrs. DaCosta was a member of the Holy Rosary Society of Espirito Santo Church and enjoyed crocheting and Knitting.
Survivors include a son Olavo Cunha of Fall River, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Joseph Cunha and Maria Stevenson.
A Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday at 10:30 AM at Espirito Santo Church, Alden Street, Fall River. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery
