Muriel G. (Dunton) Roberts, 81, formerly of Millville, died Sunday, in the Golden Living Center. She was the wife of the late Wilfred Roberts. Muriel was born in Providence a daughter of the late Francis and Germaine (Guillette) Dunton. She was a molder and worked in quality control for Tupperware for over twenty –five years and was an employee of the U.S. Rubber Co. in Woonsocket for many years. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Milford. Muriel was a dedicated communicant of St. Augustine’s Church, and was a member of various square dancing groups. She enjoyed travel and had an adventurous spirit. She also enjoyed keeping an immaculate home.
She is survived by her children; Susan Roberts of Millville, and Cherie Roberts of Witchita, KS, two grandchildren; Jason and Amanda Roberts, and three great grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by a brother; Francis Dunton Jr, of Newport Richie, FL, and two sisters; Gloria R.M. Dunton of Woonsocket, and Marcy Sheeley of Harrisville. She was also the sister of the late Charles Dunton.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St, Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Augustine’s Church, Millville. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham.
Visiting hours will be Friday 5-7PM.
