Leonard J. Roszak Jr., age 65, of Woburn passed away peacefully on September 22nd at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Paula T. (Castine) and together they shared 44 years of marriage. Born in Methuen he was the son of the late Leonard J. and Anne (Sinkiewicz) Roszak.
Lenny was raised and educated in Lawrence. He worked for a number of years as a machinist prior to a disability which kept him from working. Lenny was extremely devoted to his family. He was very active over the years with the Boy Scouts of America and Troop 500 with his sons when they were younger. He was also a member of the Order of the Arrow. Lenny and his wife were very active parishioners of St. Barbara Church and enjoyed working with youth ministries, volunteering at many different church functions and always enjoyed the Sunday night card group. Lenny was always willing to help others in need and especially enjoyed helping the elderly. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his beloved wife Paula, Lenny is survived by his children, Joseph Roszak of New York City, Richard Roszak of Acton, and Jaclene Roszak of Woburn. He was the loving papa of Emma Lee Roszak "The chocolate of his eye". Brother of Gloria Svenkonis of Derry, NH, Linda Anjoorian of Andover, Joyce Roszak of Lawrence and the late Donald Roszak. He is also survived by many more loving extended family members.
Funeral services will be held from McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St., WOBURN, Friday, September 27th, at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours at the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home will be on Thursday from 4 thru 8 p.m. Services will conclude with burial at Woodbrook Cemetery, Woburn. It has been requested that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Lenny's memory to St. Barbara Church Youth Ministries, 138 Cambridge Rd. Woburn, MA 01801.
