GARGANO, Frances E. (Griffo)- Of Saugus, formerly of Chelsea, September 22nd. Devoted wife for 68 years of John J. Gargano. Beloved mother of Vincent Gargano of Saugus and Adeline Dean of Melrose. Dear sister of Nicoletta Incerto of Chelsea and the late Guy Griffo. Cherished grandmother of David P. Dean, Jr and his wife Annie Walker Dean of Lynn. Also lovingly survived by her sisters-in-law, Theresa Olivero of Chelsea and Clara Mongiello of Medford as well as many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral from the Smith Funeral Home, 125 Washington Avenue, CHELSEA on Thursday, September 26th at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Service at Wodlawn Cemetery Chapel at 11 o'clock. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Born in Chelsea and a resident for almost all of her life until taking residence with her son, Frances passed away at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital early Sunday morning at the age of 89.
