METHUEN – Sr. Lucienne Fontaine, 97 passed away Friday September 20, 2013 at the Saint Claire Residence of the Presentation of Mary in Methuen, MA.
Born in Gardner, MA, she was the daughter of Hector and Mary Cote. Sr. Fontaine entered the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary in 1937 taking the religious name, Sr. Marie Estelle. She received her Bachelors Degree from Catholic Teachers College and her Masters Degree from Rhode Island College. Sr. Fontaine served as a teacher in Burlington, VT, Maine and Gardner, MA and retired to Methuen five years ago.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews and the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours for family and friends will be Monday from 2:00p.m. – 4:00p.m. and 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Saint Claire Residence of the Presentation of Mary 209 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 2:30p.m. in the Chapel of the Presentation of Mary with burial to follow in the Presentation of Mary Cemetery also in Methuen, MA.
