Robert J. “Bobby” D'Ortona, 73 of Medford, died Wednesday after a long illness in the New England Sinai Hospital and Rehabilitation Center, Boston, MA.
Born in Boston, he lived all his life in Medford and was the son of the late Sarah (Micale) and William D'Ortona. Robert was a Salesman for the former family business Dortona Barber and Beauty Supply in Medford since he was 16 and retired in 1999.
Beloved husband of Beverly (Powers) D’Ortona. Devoted father of Carol Roche and her husband Frederick of Medford, Robert D'Ortona Jr. and his wife Kelly of Nashua, NH, Sandra Bates and her husband Robert of Medford, Michelle McCarthy and her husband Kevin of Scituate, James D'Ortona and his wife Pamela of Plymouth, Shannon Ciarlone and her husband Anthony of Medford, Shaun D'Ortona of Plymouth and the late William “Billy” D’Ortona. Also survived by 16 loving grandchildren.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
