David Benjamin Gumula, 35, of North Stonington died Tuesday, September 17, 2013. He was born June 19, 1978, in Westerly, RI, the beloved son of Carol A. (Hall) and Roman K. Gumula.
David was a graduate of Wheeler High School where he was a member of the varsity tennis and basketball teams. He has worked for over ten years as a baker at the Big Y Market in Groton. David loved all music and was an accomplished keyboard player. He also was proficient at producing his own music electronically. One of David’s favorite pastimes was participating in fantasy baseball and football leagues.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother William Gumula and his wife Jeneen, of Newburgh, Indiana, his nephew, Zander Gumula, and several aunts and uncles. David will be sadly missed by his faithful dog, Latency.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, September 22, from 6 to 8pm at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic. An additional hour of visitation will be held on Monday morning beginning at 10am, followed by a Funeral Home Service at 11am. Burial will be private for the family.
