Henri Urbain passed peacefully at the age of 86 with his 3 children by his side. Loving father to Michael Urbain of Matawan N.J ; Patricia Fossi of Weymouth, MA and Henry Urbain of Charlotte, NC and grandfather to Sean and Danielle Urbain, Jose, Eva and Vanessa Fossi, and Katelyn and Austen Urbain. Henri lived a full life with many travels to all parts of the world. Born in Hanoi, Vietnam of French parents in 1927 and raised in France, Henri was adventurous and was encouraged by his father to travel to the USA and Canada. He settled in California where he obtained his PhD in Romance Languages and married Jacqueline Morvan, also from France, and together they moved to Beverly, Massachusetts where Henri taught Spanish and French at Salem State College for 33 years. Henri embraced traveling and discovering other cultures, inspiring his children to appreciate the French culture by spending summers in France with family. Brother of Claude Urbain of Guatemala City, Guatemala, Christiane Lecourtier of Noumea, New Caledonia, Denis Urbain of Cancun Mexico, Monique Urbain of Scottsdale AZ and Daniel Urbain of San Luis Obispo CA, Henri enjoyed traveling to their homes for visits. He will be dearly missed.
A Family Graveside Service will take place on Monday September 23 at the Mount Hope Cemetery in South Weymouth.
