Obituary

Mildred "Millie" Finn, a kind and gentle soul, a resident of Medford and former proud resident of Charlestown, died at her home in Medford on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, one day after her 78th birthday surrounded by her loved ones following a lengthy illness.

Mille was born in Boston on September 17, 1935, a daughter of the late William P. Finn and Mildred A. (Dodge) Finn who have called her home. She leaves behind her sister; Margaret Gamble and her late husband John of Medford and the late Ann and Jack Briggs, Audrey and Thomas Sullivan, William Finn and Edward Finn all of Medford. She is the loving aunt of several nieces and nephews.

A lover of friends, family, good television and honey dip doughnuts. Millie also leaves behind her extended family; the entire staff of the former Tuell Nursing Home in Melrose who lovingly cared for her for 10 years of her beautiful life. Millie spent most of her life selflessly caring for others and making the world a brighter place to live.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Millie's Funeral on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 9 A.M. from The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown at 10 A.M. Interment at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 2 to 5 P.M. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers kindly make a memorial donation in Millie's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 2151, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38101 or please make a donation to your local animal shelter to help care for all the animals that Millie loved so much.
