Owen Davis, age 82, of Douglas, GA passed away on Wednesday, September 18, 2013, at Heritage Healthcare of Osceola, Ocilla, GA following an extended illness. Mr. Davis was born on July 15, 1931, in Axson, GA to the late Alfred Davis and Lura Beatrice Darley Davis.
Survivors include: his wife: Lucille Davis, of Douglas, GA, six stepdaughters, Gladys (Lamar) Medders, Marie Thompson, Peggy (Allen) Williams, Louise Carver, Virginia Adams, and Barbara (Albert) Crosby all of Douglas, GA, eight stepsons, Herman (Janice) Beasley of Douglas, GA, Homer (Ada Nell) Beasley of Pridgen, GA, Donnie Beasley of Douglas, GA, Tommy (Melcene) Beasley, of Broxton, GA, Billy ( Angie) Beasley of Douglas, GA, Kenny (Gloria) Hutto, Pap (Dana) Hutto, Melvin (Hazel) Hutto all of Douglas, GA, stepdaughter-in-law, Judy Hutto of Douglas, GA, brother, Carl (Edna) Davis of Douglas, GA, sister, Florence Hughes of Nashville, GA several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Glenn Hutto.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 and Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at First Assembly of God with Rev. Marshall Adcock, Rev. Edgar Musgrove, Rev. Vernon Hughes, and Rev. Freddie Stone officiating. Interment will follow at Hebron Church Cemetery.
