Obituary

Rita M. (Sirignano) Turino died peacefully in the company of her loving family at the Massachusetts General Hospital on Monday evening. She was 87.
A loving mother who raised two daughters by herself and dedicated her life to them, Theresa and Linda Turino, the proprietors of Two Sisters Antiques in West Medford. She was a devoted sister to Carmen Sirignano of the North End and the late Pellegrino, Joseph, Louis, Albert and Arthur Sirignano. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and was well loved by toy poodle Gucci. Her caregivers who became extended family: Atenas Suarez, Cidelianne Moliere, Hanane Chamkhi, Maria Jjuko and Marthe’ Philemond have the gratitude of Rita’s daughter’s.

Rita worked as a stitcher throughout her life and took great joy in serving as a foster grandparent in East Boston and also enjoyed many friendships as a member of the Anna DeFronzo Senior Center.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with the family on Thursday, September 19th from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford, followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 11 AM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
