Obituary

Wallace Scribner Reynolds, 83, of Millis died September 16 in the Thomas Upham House in Medfield. He was the husband of Helen C. (MacDonald) Reynolds.
Born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, March 4, 1930, the son of the late Wallace N. and Leta Mae (Grace) Reynolds, Mr. Reynolds had lived in Natick and Bellingham prior to moving to Millis in 1970.
Mr. Reynolds was a graduate of the Norfolk County Agricultural School in Walpole.
He had been an oil burner technician for the Coan oil Company for many years before retiring. He had previously worked as an oil truck driver for C&S Oil.
Mr. Reynolds served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. He was a member of the 2nd tank battalion and attained the rank of Sergeant.
Mr. Reynolds was a member of the AM Vets of Millis, the Medway VFW and the Millis Council on Aging.
Mr. Reynolds had been a member of the Teamsters and loved to bowl.
He had had a chicken farm and enjoyed operating a koi fish pond.
He also was an avid gardener.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Steven D. Reynolds and his wife Madeline of South Walpole, Michael N. Reynolds and his wife Diana of Landaff, New Hampshire, and Mark J. Reynolds and his wife Joann of Providence, Rhode Island.
He was the father of the late Tammy Orrell and is survived by her husband Keith Orrell of Upton.
He is also survived by his brother Richard Reynolds of New Hampshire, 12 grandchildren and 7great-grandchildren.
Services will be private. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, October 5 from 11-2 at the home of Steven and Madeline Reynolds.
