Obituary

Nicholas Hoc, 92 of East Bridgewater, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday September 15th. He was the husband of the late Jane (Grabowski) Hoc.

Nicholas was born in small village in Poland and moved to East Bridgewater in the 1950’s where he resided for the remainder of his years.

He was a longtime member of the Christ the King Ukrainian Catholic Church in Boston.

Nicholas was a true craftsman, building his own house in East Bridgewater, and for several years he continued his wood working skills handcrafting birdhouses along with many other projects.

He is survived by his son George Hoc of East Bridgewater, his daughter Helen Benton and her husband Lorne of Brockton, his sister Maria Nastagna of the Ukraine, his two grandchildren Nicholas and Christopher Benton; also many nieces and nephews.

His funeral services will be held on Friday September 20th at 8:30AM from the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St. (Rte. 58 @ the Rotary Circle) Whitman, followed by a funeral mass at 10:00AM in the Christ the King Ukrainian Catholic Church, 146 Forest Hills St., Boston, MA. Burial will be in the Northville Cemetery, East Bridgewater. Visitation will be held on Thursday September 19th from 6:00-8:00PM.
