Obituary



Mary T. (Quirk) Jarred Hardiman age 80, of No. Redington Beach, Florida formerly of Brockton, passed away on September 13, 2013 at the Suncoast Hospice at Woodside in Pinellas Park, FL after a brief illness. Mary was predeceased by her husbands James Fred Jarred and James Hardiman.

Mary was born in Roxbury a daughter of the late William and Alice (McEntee) Quirk and had lived in Brockton for many years before moving to Florida over twenty years ago. She retired from the Brockton VA Medical Center after twenty-five years of service. Mary was an avid bridge player, golf fan and loved to travel.

Mary is survived by her five sons James, Robert, William and his wife Kimberly, John and his wife Tammy, and Dennis Jarred; her six grandchildren William, Christian, Jordan Leigh, Jack, Jacob and Connor; and a great grandson William as well as several step-children and step grandchildren. She was the sister of Dorothy Columbare, Bob and Tom Quirk and the late William and John Quirk and Lillian Garrod. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Tuesday 5-8 pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass in Christ the King Church at 10:30 am. Burial in the Mass National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45pm.
