TEWKSBURY: Beatrice L. (Jones) Rowe, age 91, of Tewksbury, formerly of Lowell, passed away at the Blaire House of Tewksbury on Saturday, September 14, 2013.
She was the beloved wife of the late Albert D. Rowe, who passed away on January 25, 2008.
Born in Boston on July 11, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Manfred M. Jones and the late Stella (Spratt) Jones.
Beatrice was raised in Lowell and attended Lowell schools.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a Press Operator at Scriptures Cleaners in Lowell for 20 years. In addition, she worked part-time for the H & R. Block Company.
Bea enjoyed sewing, reading, word puzzles and knitting.
She is survived by her daughter, Judith A. Miller of Tewksbury; two grandchildren, Gregory B. Miller and his wife Janet of Wilmington and Lynda S. Miller of Tewksbury; two great grandchildren, Atley and Layne Miller both of Wilmington.
Beatrice was the sister of the late Bernice Petro.
Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 19, at 10 a.m., in the Chapel at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Road, Tewksbury. At the request of the family there are No Calling Hours. Arrangements entrusted to Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, Tewksbury.
