Kathryn Louise Wilbur, age 88 of Sandown, NH, died on Friday, September 13, 2013 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Simpson County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Dewey Strickler and Viola (Finn) Strickler. Kathryn loved painting, crocheting and in her later years she enjoyed jigsaw puzzles. She was proud of the fact that in her life she was able to visit all fifty states and especially enjoyed spending time in Alaska.
Kathryn is survived by her loving husband John M. Wilbur, Sr., of Sandown; her son John M. Wilbur, Jr. and his wife, Marie of Shippensburg, PA.; one daughter, Dianne Cascadden and her husband, Creg of Derry, 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Kathryn is also survived by two sisters; Joyce Miller and her husband Roy of Eaton, GA., and Ruby Glenn Kirby of McAllen, TX, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at 11:00am at Puritan Lawn Cemetery, 185 Lake Street Peabody, MA. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry is in charge of arrangements.
