James Lewis, 73, of Derry, NH, died Sunday September 1, 2013 in the Pleasant Valley Nursing Center in Derry. He was born in Boston, MA on September 20, 1939, a son of the late James and Catherine (Hoag) Lewis. He had been a resident of Derry since 1988, formerly living in Methuen, MA. Mr. Lewis had been employed for many years in the heating industry. He was an avid New England Patriots fan.
He is survived by three sons, James C. Lewis of Winchendon, MA, Harry Lewis, and Joey Lewis; four grandchildren, Jenna Lewis Newton, Darren "DJ" Lewis, Sarah Lewis, and Joshua Lewis; as well as one great grandson, Justice Newton. He was predeceased by a son David Lewis.
There are no calling hours. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium is assisting the family with arrangements.
