Elaine Rose Kent, age 72, of New Bedford, passed away September 9, 2013 at St. Anne’s Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Odilon and Louise (Lemay) Soucy.
Prior to retirement she worked as a seamstress for New Bedford Mills for many years. She enjoyed fishing, swimming and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Elaine was the loving mother of Janice Silvia (husband Robert) of Fall River; sister of Gerry Soucy (wife Theresa) of Bridgewater, Alfred “Pete” Soucy of Fall River, and Leo Soucy of Alaska; grandmother of Andrew J. and Jennifer R. Smith, nephew Joshua Soucy and also leaves behind several other nieces and nephews.
