Gordon “Red” Massey of Auburn formerly of Needham and Carver died peacefully at the Life Care Center of Auburn. Mr. Massey was a graduate of Thayer Academy Class of 1930 and Bowdoin College Class of 1934. He was a U. S. Army World War II veteran. “Red” was the plant manager for the Granet Corporation of Framingham, where he worked for 28 years, retiring in 1976. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Frances (Driver), who died in June 2004. He was the father of Dianne Pike and her husband of Auburn, Alan Massey of Westfield, Douglas Massey of Brockton and the late William Massey. Brother of Elizabeth Clay and her husband William of Naples FL. Grandfather of Robert DeLong of Andover, Janine Ablondi and her husband Michael of Framingham and Kaitlyn Massey of Westfield. Great grandfather of Alec and Erin Ablondi. Uncle of Nancy Cox and her husband Cliff of CA. A graveside service will be held on Monday September 13 at the Needham Cemetery, 128 Nehoiden Street Needham at 1:00 PM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
