Obituary

Patricia Ann Zito passed away peacefully on monday September 9, 2013. She was 67. "Pat" to all who knew and loved her, lived a rich life of love, Family and Friends.

Pat was born in New York City in 1945. She grew up in Yonkers, New York where she met her soul mate and future husband of 51 years, Geoffrey Zito. Geoff and Pat were High School sweethearts. The love they shared carried them through the ensuing decades.

While Geoff served in the Military, they welcomed their first child Deborah. They moved to Los Angeles in 1966. A few years later they welcomed their second child Jeffrey. As their family grew up, Pat enjoyed volunteering at her children's schools, as well as being a teacher's assistant for several years at Peachland Elementary School and Newhall Elementary School. She later worked in Real Estate. Pat was known to have a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed decorating, sailing, and cooking. She loved her family and friends.

As the children grew up and took on lives of their own, Pat and Geoff moved to the Oxnard Shores area in 1995. The love of the ocean and boats was a consistent theme in Pat's life. Pat and Geoff were members of Catalina Fleet 1 Sailing Club and enjoyed sailing to the Channel Isands and Santa Barbara.

In more recent years Pat enjoyed spending time with her beautiful grand children.

Pat is survived by her Husband Geoff, her sisters Kathleen, and Carol of New York, and Glenda and Sandy of Texas; her daughter Deborah and her husband Lawrence, her son Jeffrey and her daughter in law Maria, who preceded her in death. Her grandchildren Alexander, Adam, Alyssa, Gabby, Maya and Anthony as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and Friends are invited to Visiting Hours Monday Evening September 16, 2013 from 4 to 8pm in Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home 757 E. Main Street Ventura with a vigil service at 5pm to be officiated by Father Tom Ellwaut. Funeral services will be Tuesday morning September 17, 2013 at 10AM in the Funeral Home followed by interment in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura.
