Obituary

Paul F. Remillard, 95, of Manchester, died September 8, 2013 after a period of declining health.

He was born December 26, 1917 in Georgetown, MA the son of Henri and Mary (Jobin) Remillard. He had been a Manchester resident most of his life.

Paul served in the US Army during World War II and remained in the reserves until 1977 retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel.

He owned and operated Remillard Construction Co. for many years.

Paul was a member of the Reserve Officer’s Association and the Retired Officer’s Association. He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Catholic War Veterans. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 5260 and a member of Blessed Sacrament Church.

He was married 55 years to Lumina (Levasseur) Remillard who died in 1997.

He leaves four children, Elaine M. Tremblay, Diane P. Remillard, both of Manchester, Francis P. Remillard of Meredith, and Paul R. Remillard and wife Doreen of Manchester; 8 grandchildren, Brian and wife Deborah, Keith, Neil, Christopher and wife Lisa, Maria, Corinne, Craig and wife Gemma, and Cheryl; 7 great grandchildren, Heather, Daniel, Hannah, Miranda, Jonathan, Nolan, and Phoebe; 3 great great grandchildren, Ethan, Christopher, and Chase; a brother, Gerard Remillard of Englewood, FL and Manchester; two sisters, Gertrude Croteau and Madeleine Despins, both of Manchester; many nieces and nephews.



A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial followed in St. Augustin Cemetery.
