Kenneth J. Wright of Natick died on Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the Metrowest Medical Center in Natick. He was only 43 years old.
Born on February 4, 1970 in Newton, he was raised in Wayland. Kenny was the undefeated National Chess Champion of Elementary Schools. He beat 387 students as a fifth grader and was the Massachusetts State High School Chess Champion as a sophomore while attending Wayland High School. He was also a member of the Collins Kids Chess Team that traveled to Iceland.
Kenny worked for the Wright Brother’s Roofing Company of Natick for fifteen years, had a good sense of humor and will be missed by his many friends on South Ave., in Natick. He struggled with mental illness and his family asks that we all be kind to each other.
He was the devoted and cherished son of Russell J. & Linda M. (Gaudet) Wright loving brother of the late Russell J. Wright, Jr. Grandson of Russell W. Wright of Waterboro, Maine, formerly of Natick, Caring nephew of Susan Seeley of Center Harbor, NH, Robert Gaudet & his wife Paula of Natick, Elizabeth Rancourt & her husband Jack of Berwick, Maine, Joan Wright of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, Victor Wright & his wife Roxie of Waterboro, Maine & Kenny’s very special Uncle, Richard Wright & his wife Aretha of Natick.
Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common.
