Robert “Edsel” Jones, 86, went home to be with his Lord, Saturday September 7, 2013 at St’s. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital.
He was born in Gray, KY to Robert L. & Delora (Baker) Jones.
He was retired Paint Tinter at Valspar Chemical Co., where he worked for 34 years.
He was a member of Cloverleaf Baptist Church, a Mason and was a WW II Marine Veteran.
Robert was preceded in death by his Parents, first wife: Betty Louise (Hale) Jones; infant Son: Ronnie Lee Jones; 2nd wife: Juong Sue Jones;
and a Brother: J. B. Jones.
Survivors include his wife: Ella Jo (Artman) Jones; two Daughters: Wanda L. Kerr (David L.), Delores Ann Smith; three Grandchildren:
Buddy Ray, Christina & Brian Smith; 2 Great Grandchildren: Spencer & Cory; a Brother: Curtis R. Jones (Phyllis); and a Sister: Marcella (Helton) Dunaway (Frank)
A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway. Memorial
Visitation will be Tuesday 3:00 – 7:00 pm.
Cremation was chosen with private burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
