Virginia L. Kosteer, 88, of Church Street, Greenville, died Friday, September 6, 2013 at the Hospice Care of RI Inpatient Center in Providence. She was the widow of Alfred Kosteer.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late George and Gertrude (Platt) Gibney. She had lived in Smithfield since 1962.
She had worked at a time keeper for JP Coates and later for the State of RI and Edward Gatta, Associates as an interior designer. She enjoyed sewing and was an amateur artist.
She is survived by her children: Daniel Kosteer and his wife, Rita of Glocester and Deborah Adler and her husband, Bruce of Greenville, her grandchildren: Nick and Neil Adler and Jennifer and Kimberly Kosteer and a brother George Gibney of South Attleboro. She was the sister of the late Gloria Gibney.
