ANNA T. (O'DONNELL) WANDERS, of Quincy, formerly of Hingham, passed away on Friday, Sept. 6th, 2013 at the age of 89. She was the wife of the late William J. Wanders and mother of Diane M. (Wanders) Fedele of Reading, William J. Wanders of Dorchester, Joyce A. (Wanders) Reekie of Plymouth, Thomas M. Wanders of Pennsylvania, Steven J. Wanders of Plymouth, Alan E. Wanders of New Hampshire and the late Robert and Kenneth Wanders. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
After her husband William passed away in 1971 at the age of 49, her greatest accomplishment was raising her 8 children and maintaining her household as well as working at the South Weymouth Air Base.
Funeral Monday, Sept. 9th at 9:00 AM from the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham followed by a Funeral Mass at the Church of the Resurrection, 1057 Main St. (Rt. 228), Hingham at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at the Downing Chapel on Sunday from 4-7 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Assoc., 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472. Interment in St. Paul's Cemetery, Hingham.
