Obituary

METHUEN – Peter J. Hutnick, 89 of Methuen, passed away Tuesday September 3, 2013 at Holy Family Hospital.

Born in Salem, NH, he was the son of Joachim and Elizabeth (Koscielniak) Hutnick. Peter was a graduate of Lawrence High School with the Class of 1941. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army in Papua, Philippines with the 775th tank battalion and was honorably discharged.

For 20 years he was employed with Merrimack Valley Wood Products, American Cabinets, as a millwright with Avco in Lowell and J.J. Levis Paper Company in Lawrence, MA. He enjoyed dancing and traveling.

He leaves his wife of 65 years Mary A. (Price) Hutnick of Methuen, MA. Two sons, Mark J. Hutnick and his wife Marilyn of Derry, NH and Jeffrey P. Hutnick and his wife Stacy of Methuen, MA.
Two sisters and one brother, Helen Rembis and Edna Trembley both of Methuen and Joseph Hutnick of California.
Five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours for family and friends will be Friday from 6:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
