Richard N. “Dick” King, 72 of Barry Rd., Worcester, formerly of Dudley, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Vibral Hospital, Western MA. Central in Leicester. He leaves behind his wife of almost 48 years; Rita L. (Paris) King, 2 daughters; Ronda L. Degnan and her husband Paul of Palm Bay, FL., and Brenda M. Cacciapouti and her husband William A. of Thompson Hill, CT., 4 grand-daughters; Brandi Degnan, Morgan and Hailey Cacciapouti and Sabrina Degnan. Dick was born in Needham, son of Robert N. and Audrey F. (Grimm) King and lived in Dudley for many years, before moving to Worcester with his wife over 2 years ago. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War era and worked as an electronics engineer for 14 years for Thermo Electron in Auburn and retired 10 years ago. Dick liked to invent different things and was constantly learning as a jack of all trades, he liked the challenge and in his spare time taught computer classes at The Willows.
At Dick’s request there will be No Funeral Services or Calling Hours.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to; The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio St., Suite 304, Chicago, Illinois, 60611-3201.
The ROBERT J. MILLER FUNERAL HOME and LAKE CHAPEL, 366 School St., Webster is assisting Dick’s family in Honoring his memory.
