Joan P. (Smith) Krom, 78 of Slater Estates, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013 in Webster Manor. She leaves her children; Vallarie E. Leslie of Sutton, Lori A. Terenzi and her husband Andy of Inverness, FL., and John A. Krom and his wife Julie of Yucaipa, CA., 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, and a sister, Beverly Jones of Cummings, GA. Joan was predeceased by a daughter Chrissie Celso, a brother Milton Smith and his wife June. She was born in Schenectady, N.Y. December 10, 1934 daughter of Chester and Ellen (Bolduc) Smith and has lived in Webster over 10 years. Joan was very active at Slater Estates community, helped with ice cream socials and bingo as well as organizing other activities there with her dear friend Claire Menard. She worked as a bookkeeper for the Town of Milford and later CASA Shelter in Myrtle Beach. Joan was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting, crossword and jigsaw puzzles, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There are No Calling hours. A joyful Celebration of Joan’s Life will be held at a later date.
