Jeffrey Richardson, 63, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Tuesday, September 3, 2013, in Telfair County from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Graveside services will be held 3 PM, Thursday, September 5, 2013, in the Irwinville Cemetery with the Rev. Tracy Clements and the Rev. Jeff Pangle officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:30 Thursday afternoon at The Paulk Funeral Home in Ocilla.
Mr. Richardson was born May 2, 1950, in Plant City, Florida to Christine Moore Richardson and the late Heywood Chesley Richardson. He lived in the community most of his life. He served his country in the U. S. Navy and was a Vietnam Veteran, serving on the USS Saratoga. He was a former mobile home repairman and also received his computer and solar power certificates from Moultrie Technical College. He taught himself how to fly and crop-dusted family land several years ago. Mr. Richardson enjoyed tractor pulling and loved watching NASCAR races. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his mother: Christine Richardson of Irwin County; a sister: Diane & Randy Thompson of Irwin County, and a brother: Gerald & Jane Richardson of Irwin County, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Lamar Richardson and Terrell “Terry” Richardson.
