Joan Derrick, 82, of Village Drive in Smithfield, died Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Riverview Health Center in Coventry. She was the wife of the late John H. Derrick.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Mary (St. Pierre) Condon. She lived in Smithfield before moving to Coventry. Mrs. Derrick was an assistant purchasing manager for Amica Insurance Company until retiring.
She is survived by her children: Paul J. Derrick of Beaufort, SC, Mark D. Derrick of Coventry, and Janis M. Krentz of Topeka, Kansas, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late David R. Derrick and sister of the late Marion Reall and William Condon, Jr.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 AM from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Georgiaville. Burial Private. Visitation Thursday 8-9AM.
