New Bedford - Florinda (Souza) Reed, 94, of Rochester passed away August 29, 2013 at the SE Mass. Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the widow of Robert F. Reed.
Mrs. Reed was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Antonio M. and Deolinda (Rocha) Souza, and resided in Rochester most of her life. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church. She was employed as a registered nurse by the former John I. Paulding Company until her retirement. She was a member of the St. Luke's Alumni Association and was active with the Rochester Senior Citizens. She enjoyed reading, walking, gardening and traveling.
Survivors include her sons: Robert F. Reed and James M. Reed; a sister: Hilda "Pat" Pszczola; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 6 nieces.
She was sister of the late Alfred Souza.

A memorial service at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, September 9, 2013 at St. Rose of Lima Church, Vaughan Hill Road, Rochester.
Interment in Sherman Cemetery, Rochester.
