Obituary

Augustino Thomas Forcucci, 82, was born in Glen Falls, NY. Dr. Forcucci, a dentist, practiced in East Milton, Mass., for more than 35 years. He had many loyal patients and upon retirement transferred his practice to his son, the late Dr. Richard Forcucci.
Dr. Forcucci worked in his parents’ tailor shop after school while growing up in Glen Falls. He was a Veteran, having served in post-World War II Germany during the Korean War where he met his future wife, Marie (Monafo) Forcucci. They met while Marie, a Boston, Mass., school teacher was taking part in a program to teach the children of GI’s on American military bases in Germany.
Dr. Forcucci was a graduate of Skidmore College, and Tufts Dental School. He was a member of the Yankee Dental Association. A philatelist, he collected stamps that featured lighter-than-air ships, including dirigibles and zepplins. During retirement he became an avid bridge player and artist. He sold his first painting at the age of 82.
Along with his wife of 57 years, Dr. Forcucci leaves his children: John Forcucci, of Westford, Mass., David Forcucci of Kenmore, Wash., and Maria Cue of Lexington, Mass., as well as seven grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held on September 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 40 Canal St., Marshfield, MA.
