Fife, Betty (Hay) 88, of Marshfield passed away at Jordan Hospital on August 24, 2013. Betty was the wife of the late James Fife. She leaves 2 daughters: Marlie Nunes of Marshfield and Laurie Fife of Falmouth; 2 sons: Andrew Fife of Marshfield and John Fife of Buzzards Bay, MA. She also leaves 2 grandchildren: Joao and Cristovao Nunes. Betty was born in Indianapolis, IN - the daughter of Otho C. and May (Paxton) Hay. She attended the University of Louisville, Kentucky and received her Masters Degree from Boston University. She taught School in Newburgh, NY and was a Librarian and teacher at the Sylvester, Center and Cedar Schools in Hanover for many years. She was a singer and dancer (ballet) and was a member of the Handel and Haydn Society, Chorus Pro Musica, and a member of the North Community Church in Marshfield.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 28 at 1:00 PM at the North Community Church, 72, Old Main St. Marshfield Hills, MA
