Thomas Bracey Watkins, Jr.
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Thursday, August 29, 2013 at his home with his family by his side, Thomas Bracey Watkins, Jr., 72, enjoyed 50 years of marriage to Erika Sarah Watkins.
Mr. Watkins retired from the United States Navy after 30 years of service. He also retired from Georgia Power after working there for 20 years. He actively coached and supported the Athletic Program at Aquinas High School.
Family members include children: James Allen Watkins, Michael Thomas Watkins, Tonya Marie Palinkas, Angela Kathleen Penland, Stephen Paul Watkins; 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A catholic prayer service will be held Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Thomas Healy officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Aquinas High School Athletic Program, 1920 Highland Avenue, Augusta, GA 30904.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM at the church.
