Mr. Thomas Elton Fazio, a resident of Malden, died at the de Rham Hospice Residence in Cambridge on Monday, August 26, 2013. He was 61 years old.
Born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, on September 29, 1951, he was the beloved son of the late Jean Fawcett Fazio.
Tom enjoyed music, movies and life. He played flute, read philosophy books and was constantly seeking answers to life's big questions. He grew up in Chelsea and kept his Bellingham Square friends close throughout his life. His years brought him through many careers from carpet cleaner to music promoter to demolition laborer, but the one title that he was most proud of was "Dad". He adored his kids and usually within the first minutes of meeting him, you were hearing about the latest events in the lives of his son and daughter.
Tom was the loving father of Cory M. Fazio of Springfield and Katherine J. Fazio of North Andover, devoted brother of Donna Repici of Chelsea and uncle of Thomas Arnold of Lynn and Joan Johnson of Revere.
A graveside service was held on Friday, August 30, 2013, at 2 PM in the Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm Street, Everett. Many relatives and friends respectfully attended.
