BEVERLY: Robert C. Rogers, 78, of 20 Sohier Road, died peacefully, surrounded by his family on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 in the Essex Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. He was the beloved husband of Louise A. (Prunier) Rogers.
Born in Chelsea on August 30, 1934, he was the son of Robert and Bertha (Provencial) Rogers. Robert had resided in Lynn for many years before moving Cheifland, Florida for several years and finally settling in Beverly four years ago.
Robert was employed as an electrician for Duffy Electrical in Lynn for many years before his retirement in 1999. He was an avid New England Patriots fan and enjoyed playing in a men’s softball league in Lynn for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, Robert, Bryan and Dean Rogers and Fred Peabody and three daughters, Jodi Evans, Sherry Demand and Michell Knudson. He was also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
His funeral service will be held on Friday in the Grondin Funeral home, 376 Cabot St., Beverly at 12 noon. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 a.m. – 12 noon. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Hospice of the North Shore, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923.
