Obituary

Roger P. Dupre, 77, of Manville died Sunday at home. He was the husband of the late Blanche (Lefebvre) Dupre.
Born in Manville, he was a son of the late George and Eva (Belanger) Dupre. He was a lifelong resident of Manville.
Mr. Dupre served in the U.S. Army during the 1950s.
During his career he was employed at the Whitinsville Machine Works and later at Crosby Valve & Gage.
Roger was a longtime communicant of St. James Church. He was an active member of the Lincoln Lions Club and was awarded a Melvin Jones Fellow. Roger was also involved in many of the Lions charitable endeavors and for many years he led the Lions eyeglasses collection efforts. He also enjoyed playing golf and bowling.
Roger will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by a son Marc P. Dupre, and his wife Christy, of Cranston, two daughters Anne-Marie Dupre, and her husband James McCormick, of Barrington and Jill Brouillard, and her husband Fred Foroughi, of Cumberland. He was the brother of the late Aime, Raymond and Marcel Dupre. He is also survived by his grandchildren Nicole, Elizabeth, Matthew, Eva, Samuel, Benjamin, Catherine, Benjamin, and Mitchell and many nieces and nephews. He was the father-in-law of the late Adele (Nowak) Dupre.
His Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St., Manville. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Visiting hours are Friday morning from 8:30-9:30 am, prior to Mass, in the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 71 Central St., Manville.
