Obituary

Mary (Vloras) Massahos age 95 of Manchester, NH, died at Hanover Hill Nursing Home, Manchester, NH.

Mary was born in Lowell, MA, where she grew up and attended schools. She was a resident of Manchester for the past 16 years, formerly of Salem, NH, where she lived for 40 years.

Mary was a homemaker. She was an invisible seamstress and made custom made draperies. She was a former member of the Church of the Transfiguration in Lowell, where she did the original fund raising and taught Sunday school. She was a current member of St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church in Manchester, NH, She was a member for many years in the Eastern Star in Lowell and the Lady Lions Club in Salem, NH. She enjoyed vacationing to Greece every year, gardening, and bowling.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Russell A. Massahos and her daughter Gail Massahos.

She is survived by her sons:
Anthony and his wife Karen Massahos of Windham, NH
Charles and his wife Lisa Massahos of Salem, NH
James and his wife Karen Massahos of Salem, NH

Sister: Julie Saggiotes of Concord, NH

Brother: William Vloras of Lowell, MA

Grandchildren: Russell, Marie, Amy, Amanda, Michael, Samantha, Hilary, Matthew,
and Nicholas

Great Grandchildren: Griffin, Avery, and Anthony

Several Nieces, Nephews, and many close friends

Calling hours will be held Thursday, Aug. 29th from 9-11 AM at the Douglas & Johnson Funeral Home, 214 Main St, Salem, NH. A funeral Mass will follow at 12 Noon at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church, Manchester, NH. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church, 650 Hanover St, Manchester, NH 03104.
