Lenahan, Richard F. of Marshfield, formerly of Scituate, passed away on August 26, 2013 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Maureen (Frey) Lenahan. Loving father of Richard F. Lenahan Jr. and his wife Deborah of Marshfield, Tara Gill and her husband Michael of Marshfield, Timothy Lenahan and his wife Patricia of Bourne and Staci Ames and her husband Christopher of Marshfield. Loving grandfather of Kelsey, Kelly, Samantha, Carley, Brian, Brenna, Ashley and Marissa. Son of the late Richard F. and Elizabeth (Macklin) Lenahan. Dear brother of Michael Lenahan of North Carolina and the late Elizabeth Collins and Katherine Riley.
Richard was born in Brooklyn and raised in Larchmont, New York. He moved to Scituate in 1968. Richard graduated from Iona Prep School and attended Villanova University. He later graduated from Iona College. Richard served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Era. After his retirement he worked for Rockland Golf Course as a Ranger.
Visiting hours will be held at the MacDonald Funeral Home, 1755 Ocean St., Rte. 139 in Marshfield on Wednesday, August 28 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral from the funeral home on Thursday, August 29 at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Ann by the Sea Church, 591 Ocean St. at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
